I’m happy to finally start mentioning a new product here at Ethereal 3D. Its called Ethereal Render and is a community based distributed render engine for modo. I started plans for it about a year ago and while learning more about C# and database programming, I’ve written, rewritten and added more and more to Ethereal Render software for my own use. I’m happy to say I’m close to getting some people to help me test it as I’m currently fixing a few known bugs and testing it more with multiple computers in different locations.
The render engine itself uses modo directly and it distributes frames across a community of render engines all connected online to Ethereal 3D servers to render animation sequences much faster than a single machine rendering them all. Anyway, there is much more information to come about it and I am starting to get all the documentation and information about it online in its new product pages. I plan to have it ready for early testers to use sometime in January 2011.
